POSTunderground Summer Project

America is an idea, and anyone who believes in that idea is a true American at heart. That’s the spirit behind Party Like It’s 1776, and the guiding principle is fun.

If you are a musician or singer of any style, age, or level, there is a role for you in this production. The time commitment is reasonable, as is the price. Here are the details:

  • We are planning for a cast of about forty people, performing roughly twenty songs.
  • Rehearsals and performances all take place in Brookline, at 386 Washington Street (Brookline Veterans Post).
  • You must be in town on Saturday, 7/25, for the full run-through, and on Sunday, 7/26, for the two performances, 2 PM and 7 PM. Other than that, we will work around all your summer plans.
  • Rehearsals are on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings, beginning Sunday, 6/21.
  • With such a large cast, nobody has to be there all three days, nor every single week.
  • The show will be a kaleidoscope of American music, with an emphasis on songs about America itself.
  • For more information, please call or text John Purcell at (617) 939-3296, or cut and paste this email address yourself, this link doesn't do anything: postunderground386@gmail.com
