America is an idea, and anyone who believes in that idea is an American at heart. That’s the sales pitch for Party Like It’s 1776, that and the fact that the show will be incredibly fun.
If you are a musician or singer of any style, age, or level, there is a role for you in this production. The time commitment is reasonable, and so is the price. Here are the details:
- We are planning for a cast of about forty people.
- Rehearsals and performances all take place in Brookline, at 386 Washington Street (Brookline Veterans Post).
- You must be in town on Saturday, 7/25, for the full run-through, and on Sunday, 7/26, for the two performances, 2 PM and 7 PM. Other than that, we will work around all your summer plans.
- Rehearsals are on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings, beginning Sunday, 6/21.
- With such a large cast, nobody has to be there all three days, nor every single week.
- We will be celebrating all facets of American music, with an emphasis on songs about America itself.
